feel free to say hi

Post by Ralitsa »

On the subject of whether it's wise to approach someone who seems to be CDing, I thought I would extend this invitation.
I travel quite a bit, and travelling or not am almost always wearing a skirt or dress. So I don't know what the chances or that any of us will cross paths, but in case you see me you can feel free to talk. I will put a photo in the gallery, as soon as I figure that out. Over the next couple months I will be in Pennsylvania, Bulgaria, Wisconsin, and California, and the typical airports I go through are Allentown, Detroit, Green Bay, Amsterdam, and Sofia. So if by chance any of you gals see me, don't be shy.

OK, I put a photo in the gallery. Notice the red purse, I almost always carry that purse so you'll know it's me even if I'm wearing pants.

I was working once and noticed a crossdresser out walking through a large mall. I thought it would be really nice if I could pull off the same thing. He was dressed in a really nice outfit and great shoes and no one really noticed. Being a crossdresser I spotted her right away. I wanted to compliment the great outfit but didn't want to give myself away to any co- workers or make the gal/guy uncomfortable. It would be really nice if I was feminine enough to pull that off.

I think it is not so much if one is approached, but how. A couple of times I have been read and had it mentioned, in niether case was this at all demoralising, since on both occasions the comments were very positive. Both were ladies, boith commented on how good they thought I looked, and encouraged me to carry on.

Again both were cilvilians so were a bity unsure about what pronoun to use, and were, I think, as nervous of approaching me as I was of being approached. So I think as long as it is positive, and gender neutral just in case, go ahead. And if you are ever around my way, I'd love to meet up

Paula G,
That was nice that a couple ladies complimented you when you were out. when I see a CDer or transgender person out I want to run up and hug them. If I am ever out your way we should say hi.

Well girls, my sojurn in the wilderness (California) is nearly over and tomorrow I go back to the promised land (Wisconsin, the land flowing with milk and beer).
I'll be flying out of Santa Barbara in the morning. I've decided that I will wear my new dress, it's a gray knit, not really pretty but classy and comfortable. My problem now is whether to redo my nails. Today I did them in teal to match the top I'm wearing, but I guess technically I should do them in gray to match my dress and sweater tomorrow.

my next destination is now South Africa. I will be going down there for a week, leaving on Saturday. I'll be flying through Paris again, so we will see how many people recognize me this time
Now those of you who were in the Navy know that tradition says that when you cross the equator, you have to crossdress. So I guess I will have to wear pants when I'm there :P
But I will certainly be wearing a skirt or dress on the way down. One thing that I've found, there is a huge difference in comfort between wearing pants on a plane for 10 hours and wearing a skirt or dress on a plane. Actually, I will say that the dress is the most comfortable, because even a skirt can start to feel tight around the middle after a long time. I haven't yet decided what dress I will wear, but I will probably wear my new boots so it will have to be something that matches. I bought some really nice Brazillian made leather boots for only 69 lev (~50 USD) in a bluish gray a couple days ago. They are amazingly cute and comfortable. Anyway, just the thought of wearing pants on a plane has become to me so repugnant that I won't consider it unless there is absolutely no choice and it's a short flight. Even when I went to Saudi Arabia I wore a skirt most of the way and only put on pants shortly before we landed at Riyadh. Call me a chicken, but Saudi Arabia is one place I won't insist on my right to wear whatever I like.
So I will be leaving here (Sofia) on Saturday, changing planes at CDG, and arriving JNB Sunday morning. I will only be there a week, and we have a pretty busy schedule, so I don't know how much sightseeing I will do. Of course I will update all you girls about my adventures.

Two things, there is a Reading in northern California, and it must be nice to be able to dress and go about like a normal women. I do envy all of you whom do it!!
