Anyway as of late we've been keeping really strange hours, almost nightshift hours. Tonight our DVD player crapped out and we decided to upgrade to a 'net ready Blu-Ray.
After a quick look on line it was off to our local walmart. As we were going out I asked her if I should wash off my foundation ( I wear powder foundation to help with oily skin and my wife approves). I'd slipped on some very light blush, a very slight touch of mascara and tinted lip balm, borrowed from my wife. She said she didn't even notice I was wearing any. I wasn't really dressed to go out but who cares at 3am in the local walmart. I was wearing an old scoop neck t shirt with baggy shorts that could pass as a skirt both were khaki. I have freshly done nails and had my 2" heel flip flops on
As I approached the checkout the guy behind the counter said "Sorry ma'am this one is closed, number three is open" As my wife caught up with me (she was waylaid by handbags) she said "did he call you ma'am?" I just replied "yeah he must be tired".
After we checked out the greeter wanted to see the receipt as the DVD box was to big for a bag. As he gave me the receipt back he smiled and said "thankyou ma'am have a great day" I thanked him and walked on it was then that I saw my reflection in the doors as my wife said " those shorts and shirt could pass for a dress they're both the same shade of khaki"
Be damned if she wasn't right the drawstring on the shorts looked like a casual belt.
Wow that brief trip did wonders for me. I'm going to bed a happy girl. G'night all!
