Today I'm on my way back to the States from Bulgaria, just sitting here having a coffee in the airport as I type this.
I decided to wear my grey travelling outfit, it's a skirt and jacket by Dannini (a local Bulgarian company), in a semi-formal style. And a pair of heels and purse that match perfectly. I haven't worn this outfit for a long time, maybe a year, as it's too warm for summer.
So I'm off to Amsterdam, then Atlanta, then Harrisburg, PA.

Off again - leaving tomorrow on a Caribbean cruise - includes Curacao and Panama. Unfortunately because of baggage overload, Lydia will stay behind. Maybe another time?
I'll still check in here - there will be wi-fi on board.
Hugs,
Lydia

On the road again.....
today on my way to Phoenix. I'm at the Midland TX airport, waiting for the plane. I was almost ready to go back to Bulgaria last week when a friend (and collegue) asked if I could spend a couple months in AZ helping with a project there. Since I was looking for an excuse to spend a little time in the desert SW in my RV anyway, I took it. So I spent a few days here in Midland getting my rig ready for the trip. But I need to fly out for a week of meetings before I drive my rig out there.
Since it's been over a year since I've used it, I'd forgotten what nice clothes I have stashed here. I have here my khaki safari dress, the one I really wanted to wear last year when I went to South Africa. And a bunch of shoes, most of them strappy heels but a few cute boots. The shoes are actually a little problem, because I don't really have any here that I can wear this week to the office. So I guess I just have to go shoe shopping, it's a terrible trajedy... boo hoo
For today's trip I decided to wear a small knit dress in navy, with a cowl neck and cap sleeves. It's really comfortable and very cute, but really very short too. Of course I am wearing tights, as in fishnet tights over sheer black stockings so they don't really offer as much coverage as modesty would dictate. To top it off, I made the mistake of wearing red panties, because I wanted to wear this red bra. So if I'm not very careful, well you know....
A few observations about airports: many of them have birds living inside, this is one of them; small airports offer free and good quality WiFi, and the major airports charge a lot and the coverage is worse than my fishnet tights; beer is really expensive in all of them; I think they all like me, because I've never had any trouble and I think most everyone goes out of their way to be nice.
An observation about west Texas, just because the menu doesn't say the BBQ sauce is hotter than the hubs of hell, doesn't mean that it won't be. Hot sauce that would be listed in the northeast as a hazardous material and require special permits, is not really enough to warrant mentioning in the desert SW. I make this observation right now because I ordered a buffalo chicken salad, and one normally wouldn't expect a salad to require 8 pints of beer, but the chicken comes with the "signature BBQ sauce". It's good though. The only problem is that it will put all the hair back on my chest that I spent an hour last night in torture to epilate off.
An observation about epilating your chest, you will be crying so hard you can't make any observations at all.

Ralitsa it seem you live on the road. Have a good trip to AZ. Does you motor home give you plenty of space I hope. Assess to clothes you have not seen for a while must be like Christmas opening presents. AZ should be a warm place for the rest of the winter.

Is this your first time epilating your chest? It does get better over time, at least it did for me. First time it did my chest it took 2 days and three sittings with several drinks the second and third times.Ralitsa wrote: ... spent an hour last night in torture to epilate off.

Traveling
On the road again myself, Houston to Lake Havasu AZ. Driving a 28 ft U-haul box truck and pulling a trailer with a small pick up on it.

Phyllis, we were probably going down the same road at the same time. I was pulling my camper from Midland TX to Phoenix.
You are right Kim, it was like Christmas seeing all my clothes that I haven't worn in about 2 years. Can you believe that I actually have a few dresses in my closet that I have never worn? Of course you can believe it
So that is even better, I'm looking for the special occasion to wear them now.
Interestingly, at the RV park where I am there may be trouble brewing. The lady who runs the place asked me why I was wearing a skirt and said there had been a few complaints. So of course I said that I wear a skirt because I want to (I really don't know that any other reason is valid) and asked why anyone thought they should care about what I wear. She told me she doesn't care but has to deal with complaints, and I know she is just trying to keep peace. I doubt anything will really come of it, usually in such a situation a few people squawk but then when they find out that nobody is listening they shut up and go away.
Tonight I need to go shopping, I need new shoes and would like to find a few nice blouses that I can wear to work.
