Bra Fitting

Today I had an appointment for a bra fitting at Fashion Bug Plus so when I got home from work ( I left early to have time to get ready ) I showered and got dresses. Polished my finger nails to match my toe nails, even though I was wearing closed toe 3" heels, then I left for my appointment.

When I got to the store I was greeted by the sales girl ( Ashley ) and escorted to a fitting room. She ask me if I had had a bra fitting before and I told her that I hadn't. She said no to worry it is painless. She then measured me and ask what size bras do Ii usually wear and I told her 38 C's and she said well you are rifgt on with that size.

We then left the fitting room and she brought me to the bra section to show me what they had. What was on display were plain bras of all colors which isn't for me. I told her I was an " Old Fashion " girl and liked lace bras. She said they didn't have many lace bras but would and see what was available. She came back with 2 bras, one red the other one black & white, showed them to me and went to look for more. She returned with 3 more lace bras A black one, a pink one and a red & black one, also a gray striped bra but with no lace. These bras were exquisite and I could resist trying them on.

I then asked her if they had any panties ( I figured why not go all out and see ), she asked what size and I told her a 6 or 7. Since this is a store for plus women she said she didn't think so but would have a look. She returned with 5 pair of panties, 3 lace and 2 nylon. The lace panties were white, black and lavender, the nylon ones were red and pink.

Needless to say, as you have probably guessed, I bought all the bras and the panties and can wait to wear them. My total purchase price for the bras and panties came to $132.00 which has lessen the money I have been saving for a shopping spree down to $125.00. So I now have to wait and save up some more before I will go shopping again,
but next time it will be for clothes and shoes mostly.

CharLee, Babydoll and I are so happy for you. It's a marvelous thing when you can go out and be femme, espsecially when it's for bra fittings and new panties. . It's even better when the sales clerks are so helpful and excepting of us and makes us feel more comfortable. It's all exciting and fun. Then When ya get home with your new items your not sure which to wear first. But it is just as much fun to try them on after you get home. Hugs Dom And Babydoll

Sounds like a great expedition, a lot of fun if a little pricey. I think I will have to follow your example soon. A GG friend of mine has agreed to accept parcels for Paula, and for the first time I have ordered some proper boobs. Up till now I have been using heavily padded bras and "enhancers" I don't know whether any of my bras will still fit, or indeed what size I should be buying. Still it should be finding out.

I find that the bras I'm buying recently seem to fit better than older ones I have. I'm trying to decide if this is because I'm finally buying the right size, or if the older ones are stretched out, or because I'm buying better quality. I used to refuse to buy a $20 bra, but I don't anymore because I know I will be wearing it every day for a long time. I was just talking to a friend of mine (young lady) a couple weeks ago who was telling me how great it felt to wear a VS bra instead of the cheap stuff. Anyway, I really like being able to "justify wearing the expensive ones."

The pricelessness of the salesckerks' faces when I ask for 36AAs makes me chuckle every time.

The level of uneasiness of some of them really makes it clear they wouldn't touch you with a 10-foot pole sometimes, though.

I am a little too anxious to do this yet but I thikit will come. Perhaps out of town would be easier.

I am happy to buy my lingerie and haven't gone as far as to say it is for me, but have been honest when speaking to the shop assistant. e.g. "I am looking for a 38B please." "What styles does she like?." "I like/am looking for unpadded and xxx make if possible." etc

I have prepared myself to be able to say who the underwear is for if asked but have not yet been asked so I don't try to force the issue!

I wil build myself up fora fitting as I think it would be so exciting. Nevertheless, if they tellme I need a bigger band than a 38, I may have to just continue with 38's as that is the biggest band in my favourite brand and I CANNOT be without them!

Any suggestions from the UK as to the best places to go for a fitting? Is a high street store better than a specialist shop?

May I suggest this. The SA absolutely knows its for you.
She doesn't want to embarrass you so she plays "cat and mouse" with you.
When you finally say " Its for me" you both will be relieved and get on with business

I had a great Bra fitting experience. I was quite open and told her it was for me and asked if she has ever done this for a CD and she said that she had and was very accepting and comfortable with it. She then measured me and gave me the step by step process as to how it is done...de-buffed the +4 inch rule.
