Hello All

Post by TaraCD »

Hi,
Just a quick introduction. I'm Tara (Tim in my other world) and I've come here for a bit of help and support.
I'm 25, a pretty big, athletic guy from a very conservative family in a middle sized country town. I have a list of very 'normal' hobbies, from hunting to mucic, plus one that's a bit different. That's why I'm here.
I'm really strugling coming to terms with this desire I have to wear womens clothes. I've always had it, but really only just started to analyze it. Perhaps you guys and gals can help me out.
From what I've seen so far, you're a fantastic, supportive and understanding group. I can't imagine my family nad friends being quite so.
Anyway, hope to chat to you all soon.
xxoo

Gaven, you sound alot like me. I guess I'm staring to realise, that just because I like wearing lingerie to work and getting all femme, I don't have to stop being a man. :)

Hi Tara:
Being athletic is somewhat of a bonus. As a world class power lifter, I find that ( assuming I can figure out the correct sizes) I can look pretty good when I dress. As for me, the dressing part is important but the feminine connection that I am cultivating is what is really great. You will find that more and more medical evidence points to the fact that (in my words) we, as CD'ers ar not only wired differently (from birth) but we are wired better than our brethren out there because we have the best of both worlds. WE can better identify with the needs, wants and desires of our GG's. Its so cool to be this way! God bless you and we (your sisters here) look forward to connecting with you and mutually helping each other through any rough spots we all encounter Love, Deborah

Hey Tara,
Coming to terms with who you are is a difficult process. One that doesn't happen overnight. Many of us here have been where you are now. Know that you're not alone. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Also, if you haven't done so yet, many topics have been posted and you can view them at your leisure. There's a wealth of information here.

I hope you enjoy the forum, and good luck on your quest for self.

Hugs,
Kyra

Hi Tara--
It can be very hard to deliberately "blow up" the family's image of you! I had to do it, and it hurt me when it first came up for me as a choice.

Since I don't live in Ohio anymore, I was tempted to just live openly here in California, and not bother the family. But I quickly saw that I had to include them in it. I go back every six months, and to not talk about my femme self at all would have been very hard. She's a big part of my life.

But I don't go out as her "back there," only out here. So it's not the same as your situation. There's also more expectations on a 25 year old--marriage, children, prestige jobs, and so on.

Welcome to a good forum. You can find much support here.

Hi Tara!

You´ve come to the right place. As you can see, we all have "normal hobbies" and in my opinion crossdressing is just one of them. The only difference is that you can´t compare the pleasure and joy of crossdressing to any other thing. I accepted myself completely at your age and my life got much better. Don´t feel quilty, enjoy your gift!
Welcome to the forum -wel-
