The great Oklahoma heat wave may be over, maybe. The temps were just barely over the 100F mark last week, and this week are predicted to be under 100F with a few days below 90F!! Low chances of rain mean the wild fire danger remains high though. Very dry and the post hole digger I was trying to use bounced off the hard, dry, surface dirt! Soaked it for 30 minutes and only got down 9 inches before the ground was indurated once again!

Today's forcast for OKC and close environs: High 85F (or 90F on an alternate station) with a 20-30% chance of measurable rain, mainly in the form of widely scattered rain showers and few thunderestorms.

Low expected to be 68F for tommorow morning, with a high of 92F, all of which are actually a bit below normal.

Quite a relief, actually.
