Teaching my sister a few new tricks

Post by Trudy »

Since moving back to help with my Mother my sister have grown close, escpecially now that she understands and accepts Trudy. Last week was her birthday !!hb!! so I took her out to lunch and told her was takng he shopping to ghet her something nice. She said fine but first we had to stop at Target as she need a new bra. She is always fussing wth her bra and when she wears a sweater you can see the 4 boob look :( so I knew she had the wrong size. Rather than go to Target I took her to the Soma Boutiique that recently opened near here. I have been wearing Soma bras for probably close to 10 years now and love the way the feel, look ,and fit.

Once there the saleslady took one look at my sister and asked what size bra she wore. She said 36B and the saleslady shook her head and told her "I don't think so." Then she wa escorted to the fitting room and lo and behold she is a 38C! After the saleslady asked if wanted to be fitted, smiling that they fit "giirls" lke me all the time. I told her I had been fiteed a few weeks ago when I bought 2 bras there. :)

Well I had breakfast with my sister this mornng and she said she loved the new bras. I bouight her 3, 2 underwires and a soft cup. She said she never thought she would like an underwire but she was going back for 2 more this week! Sure we can learn a lot from GG's but they can learn fron us too! *-*

I am glad the two of you had fun and it went well. I think you got her something nice that she never imagined she would get from you.

What could be more affirming of your femininity than to be able to help a gg loved one solve an inherently female problem. Congratulations. I'll bet your sister "gets" Trudy more than ever now.

I always wanted to correct my ex on her makeup and sometimes her matching of clothes. On more than a few occasions, a close friend told her exactly what I was thinking so I must've been right.

"Correcting" a friend or loved one across genders about their looks and dress can be dangerous to the relationship, at least temporarily. Women do this to guys all the time, but guys to women? Not!

Have you tried . . . ? I wonder if this color would work better for you/with that dress/lipstick/bag?

If someone's taste or style is always off in the same direction, they obviously think it's correct. Unless they are very insecure their reply is probably going to be dismissive. Don't try to convince, just suggest that they try it. And don't repeat any suggestion that has been met with ridicule.

Just a thought.
