Hello
A few months ago my husband of 3 years told me that he is a cross dresser. I want to be able to accept this and support him. But I am struggling. I have no one that I can talk to about what I'm going through. I'm hoping this site will be a good resource to help me move forward.

Re: Hello
Hi and Welcome to the site Atticus. Lots of information here, some will apply to your hubby and some will not. Communication, communication, communication is key. But also be patent as he opens up to you as this may be hard for him to share. Stop in the chat room and one of us can chat with you directly if you want.

Re: Hello
Welcome, Atticus.
Is it anything in particular? Or is it a more general thing, like the weight of new stuff or not being able to share except with your SO?

,
Hon for what it is worth my wife of 51 years has except my cross dressing for as long as we have been married.
I am no different when I am in a dress or skirt other then the cloths I am wearing, you know if you TRY you could find it quite fun seeing him dressed up.
I am in chat off and on all day so don't be afraid to drop in and say hi.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the Haven.
I'm new as well, and both me and my wife have joined.
The key is honesty and transparency, and for us its all about progressing at the pace that is comfortable for her. It has been challenging, but my ability to fully release my "secret" and share fully and completely my thoughts and emotions has brought us even closer together.
This is a great site, with all sorts of wonderful people that can help both you and your husband.
Good luck.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the haven, Atticus. Don't worry about taking your hubby's cross-dressing personally. You have done nothing wrong, and he would be a CD regardless, even if you had never met. Ask him. You will both be happier if you, as SO, try to be understanding. Joining us is a good start, and we welcome you.
I AM my own hot girlfriend.

Re: Hello
Thanks so much, everyone! I'm looking forward to reading in the SO group this weekend. And I think this site will be a great help. I joined a stepmother group when I first started dating my husband (he has one son) and it helped me navigate the crazy world of being a childless custodial stepmom. I'm hopeful this site will do the same. A long time ago my husband promised that life with him would never be boring. He wasn't kidding

Re: Hello
I came out to my wife of then 27 years 3 1/2 years ago sis.
for 6 months I thought we would divorce and I would lose
my best friend and the best thing in my life.
my wife researched the subject and while wishing I wasn't
a crossdresser has come to support me and our marriage
has survived. I hope you and your husband can work
through this and survive and prosper.
God Bless
