For those of us fortunate enough to be able to get cable TV and get the Style Network, there is The Brini Maxwell Show
It's a household hints and tips show by Brini Maxwell, a ditzy blonde pre-feminist version of Martha Stewart in a late 50's early 60's time warp. Brini is a creation of Ben Sander who plays her. It was on NYC public access for 5 years before Style picked up the show
To borrow a phrase from Rikki, it is played "tongue in chic".
I love most of Brini's outfits (Jadeanne's taste in clothing leans toward retro-50's).
It's not offensive, just a little mild innuendo. After taping and viewing 4 episodes, I'm going to keep my VCR timer on Fridays 10PM-10:30PM Eastern time. A little non-hostile silliness is refreshing once in a while.
