As for the forum I've had the same thing too... I didn't see the "spinning wheel" thingies all day and could only read new posts by clicking on the "View posts since last visit" link in the upper right.
I wasn't feeling well and had my wife call me in sick today, it was combination headache, back, shoulders, varicose veins, etc. I stayed in my long pink nylon nightgown and slept for awhile. Reminder to you - don't get arthritis or varicose veins. They catch up to you when you hit your 50s.
Then my wife went out for groceries, I got up, washed up, put on posture longline, boned waist cincher, support stockings, then silky black slip and panties, topped it all off with a different shorter pink nylon floral nightgown, started feeling better, added my white petticoat and for most of the day I was pink poufbunny. The nightgown was something different from my usual dress or top/skirt. Dressing up and the support from the garments helped me feel better.
I got on my boy clothes to drop one car off for inspection and maintenance tomorrow, off to dinner and the Avenue (wifes favorite clothing store - she chose 2 tops and I paid for them - with coupons got change back from a $10). After we got home, off with the boy clothes and back to day's dress code of "pretty pink nightgown". Tonight's uniform is a brand new long pink satin nightgown from One Hanes Place that came in the mail this afternoon (for some reason, they size satin smaller, so I had to exchange). I'm topping it with a blue floral satin robe - the shade of pink in some of the flowers on the robe matches the nightgown.
Too busy to read, too busy to write.
Too much to do and no end in sight.
Augh! What a week. And It's only tuesday! (Hey, didn't I just read that?)
Then it must be TRUE!!!!!
Hugs anyway,
Kyra

I made it back to work today after a sick day spent mostly in pink nightgowns.
After a day of lugging computer equipment around, my back was feeling it a little. My wife went to choir practice and I'm spending a few hours in my corset complete with foam hip and butt padding underneath, panty girdle over the corset keeping things in place, support stockings attatched to the corset garters, longline posture bra, waist cincher keeping bra from riding up, silky full slip, BOTH of my petticoats pouffing out the pleated skirt of my navy blue skirt suit to the legal maximum . I'm completing tonight's look with my largest gold dangly clip earrings, goldtone chains, and bracelets, and of course one of my blonde wigs.
I don't want to take more than one sick day during a week (I still get paid but don't want to use them up), and my back felt better so I made it in today, my day to be primary telephone answerer. My job is generally not bad and it's a couple of more years to go until I can retire.
Found out my car won't pass inspection without $$$$$$$$$$$ of work. Had it for almost 12 yrs, over 108K miles. Picked it up tonight, looked at a couple of possible replacements. We can get along for a while with one car. We want to make the right choice, because that's what we'll be driving for a long time. We liked one of them, but want to look at some other makes/models this weekend.

I hear you hon... fully understandable.
It's funny you mentioned a bad back the other day.... yesterday morning my back was in so much pain I could not move & thought I had to go to hospital. I was seeing stars!!! (I was over at my mother's the other day, digging & planting trees & heavy bushes all day... ) so the next morning my back was in KNOTS... ouch.
I spent the past 2 days slathering on the Icy Hot... doing better now, thank goodness...
One hour to breathe before I spend the next 3 HOURS chasing around a rowdy 5 year old...
Lorna,
I hope you got through your babysitting duty with some sanity remaining.
I'm glad that your back is better. With me, if I do something really strenuous, my muscles and joints sometimes wait until the second day after to really act up. I find heat helps me, although an arthritis nurse told me that for people who can stand the initial application, cold packs can reduce swelling faster.
I hope there is some way you could record your comedy performance. I know lots of us on the forum would love to see it.
At least wife and I are agreed on getting rid of the old car, hope a neighbor who has fixed it a couple of times might want it, if not a trade-in just to get rid of it. It was the 2nd one I ever bought new and it was the one that I liked the best. The probable replacement will be a new one that's quite similar. When I test drove it, it was like driving mine but new and without the few things I didn't really like in the old one. I plan on driving this one 10 plus years, so I want to make sure I'm going to like it.
