Hi I'm Rachel.
I am very new to cross dressing. As a kid, I experimented with my sister's panties and bra, but treated it at an attempt to just be horny. I tucked that experience away as I grew into a man, because it seemed to be in congruent with who I was becoming.
Now that I am fully grown as a man, I find that a softer, more feminine desire is starting to emerge. It is no longer about getting horny, it is now about feeling pretty. I am now enjoying shopping (online only) for women's clothes that I have always admired and now imagine how pretty I would be in them. Unfortunately, though I like the clothes, the result is less than I desire. Though I have some girls clothes, they are not very girly and am in no way even close to passable. I just like the way they feel on me.
I have experimented with makeup, but only lipstick and a simple floral perfume seem to work for me. The rest of it makes me feel artificial, which coincidentally is what I think when I see women wearing them(eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, lip liner, and foundation.) Maybe I just don't know how to make them work for me.
I only wear my girl clothes around my apartment. I guess that's because feeling pretty is more important than being pretty for me. I am already attractive as a man, so I don't feel the need to be an attractive woman. I simply enjoy the softness of the clothes, perfume, and lip stick, and how they soften my heart.
I think I may have gone on too long, so I am sorry. I just needed to tell you where I am at, and ask where do I go from here? Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.
Rachel

Hi Rachel,
That's a very nice introduction. The details of persons cross dressing are purely personal and as long as it's not damaging in any way, it's simply about satisfying one's own needs. Like you, I try to simplify the hows and whys by realizing and accepting I like to feel pretty, and for me it includes makeup which is something I've admired in woman my entire life. We're all different and there are many amazing individuals here with different outlooks and stories... that's the "beauty" of it.
Welcome!
