Hope i can find an answer.

Post by ChrisG »

Hello everyone,
I am trying to figure out where i belong.I am 41 years old, married, and have 4 dogs. I am NOT Trans, Don't consider myself to be a transvestite or or wish to be a woman. I like to think I have an open Mind. I have some friends who are Transsexual. It was there idea that I reach out to the community at large.I am a man . I like being a man. .....But I am also in touch with my feminine side And like doing Lady things ( Shopping for clothes, cooking, ect )

I also like to wear skirts, leggings, tights, nylons, very baggy sweaters. I feel more confident when wearing them. My wife has no problem with me wearing these items. ( She loves men's clothes but that is another thing)I would wear them out in the world but where i am I feel I would get Beat. So any way the question is what am I? where do I fit in? What do I do? Any help would be helpful. Thanks Hugs.

Welcome to the Haven.

A simple answer to your question based on you saying you wear women's clothes is that you are a crossdresser. This falls under the umbrella of being transgender. Ok... so now you have a label, but who cares? As long as you're comfy with being you then simply enjoy life as best you can.

Welcome to the Haven Chris. You are not alone in your behaviour.

I too just enjoy the femineity of wearing female apparel and the stress free and relaxing sensations that accompany my dressing.

Shopping, washing, ironing etc. come natural to me especially when Requal is present.

Welcome, Chris.

I'm not sure you really need to put a label on it. If you find you get along with other people in sort of related areas, that's enough IMO.

Hi Chris, -wel- to the forum.

If you want a label, then I agree with Davita.

For myself, having a fem side and having a desire to cross dress, makes me trans. A crossdresser, but definitely trans. Otherwise, I wouldn't have those desires, and could quit CDing.

However, don't ask anyone else to give you a label. There are plenty to choose from, but none are necessary to just be yourself.

Oh golly no, Chris. No one is offended. I was just saying that if you need a definition then you have one, but it is sooooo not important. We just want you happy.

Maybe you didn't ask the right question. Maybe it's not what you are but why you are? Again, there are soooo many reasons about why we do what we do and who we are. The two big things are nature versus nurture. But if you just simply ask yourself, I am who I am then what do I do with it and finally, how do I survive in this world? Then you have to ask the only questions that matter.... Am I okay with who I am and are the people important to me happy with who I am. All that you do wil be driven by those two questions.

Myself, I am very happy with who I am. As for the people I care about happy? So are, some not so much. As I coping and delaing? oh yeah, but I am one of those girls not frightened easily and can afford just about any loss.

Is this more in line with what you're confused about?

I am grateful for all the answers and sorry for the confusion. Let me try to rephrase the question. I am very in touch wit my Feminine side. I like so called girly things( skirts, painting my nails,Ect). But I have no will to pass as a woman. Is there an in between? Is there a spot for me? I don't consider my self male /female but a happy medium. This is why i am confused. I want to meet more like me. hope thats clearer.

The label is gender fluid (genderfluid).

Gender fluid is a gender identity which refers to a gender which varies over time. A gender fluid person may at any time identify as male, female, neutrois, or any other non-binary identity, or some combination of identities.
