Are you ambidexterous?

Post by Shelby »

I have a hard time applying my eye make up on my left eye (I am right handed) and was wondering is it something that comes with time or are there tricks to help one apply make up on their "bad" side?

It just takes practice Keay. One thing that may help is get a magnifying mirror. I find that especially helps on those days I wear my glasses and not my contacts. Hopefully someday I will be able to afford Lasik surgery and rid myself of that issue.

Hi,

can you draw a circle with your right hand starting at the top and go clock wise then anticlock wise , then do it from the bottom , try that a few times till it matters not what way you draw ,
then change to left hand and do the same

you have to change your brain direction in motion it does not mater if your right or left handed I,m both so matters not
its muscle memory you need to click on to and get brain in gear to do it ,how long depends on the person and how you engage brain ,

you may need to steady your arm on some thing , to do it ,

there is another way I just don't think many can do this you look at your face and in your brain revese how you see it, not quite so easy for many people any way just an idear ,

You may have to do it many times and find the best way for you ,
till you can do it with your eyes closed its muscle memory not what your looking at ,

hey I,m just plain weird , so give it a go,

I think that with time, practice and patience, eventually, it will just come naturally. :)

Am I ambidextrous? No but there were many times I wish I was and I know the BF would love it if I were!

I have been wearing make up every day for probably a lot longer than most of you so I have had my share of practice, Still I have days it looks better than others IMO. Like everyone else says it takes practice, practice, practice! Amanda's suggestion of a magnifying mirror is a good one and make sure you have good lighting. The other thing is many girls only have limited time to dress so they rush, slow down and take your time. You will get the hang of it, just be patient.

Hum...I do switch hands! the most difficult thing is Mascara I carefully move it to the inner or outer corner of each eye then blink and roll a little here and there occasionally that brush does dab my eyeball which is why I am careful it does not feel good when that happens. Eye shadow also requires use of both hands...so I suppose yes I am somewhat ambidextrous with somethings but I am largely left handed. I write left handed... foundation...yep again the pad does occasionally switch hands, even lipstick...well.. many people are simiambidextrous I suppose? Yeah takes practice agree with the above...slow down, take your time...hum...gonna pull out the magnifying mirror which should improve or perfect my application even more...um...kissy kissy....which would be directed at a genetic female for myself...:)
