I went shopping today. Nothing fancy, just a trip to Goodwill. This is becoming my favorite place, as they have lots of nice stuff for not a lot of money. This is especially important as I am on a tiny budget. I didn't buy a lot of stuff, but everything was nice, so I think I did well.
(I suppose I could have posted this in "Went Shopping", but I was in drab, just jeans and a T-shirt, so...)
I decided to give myself a little fashion show.
I started casual. A pair of brown polyester Venezia jeans matched with a cafe-au-lait George stretch top I picked up on sale from Walmart. This over a Secret Treasures underwire bra and thong panties. Then I switched out the jeans for a brown fringed miniskirt (Rave City). That combination was cute.
My next item was a formal type dress, black with spaghetti straps and side-slits. The brand name is Jalate, but all the other tags were cut out. I wore this over a Secret Treasures garter belt/thong combo with black stockings. I think the dress is a 14, and I wear 16/18, so it was very form-fitting. No room up top for foundations, so I just put in a pair of push-up pads. Topped the ensemble off with a pair of 3 1/2-inch platform sandals and a clutch bag.
I'm back in casual mode now. A matched set of FTL hi-cut panties and sports bra, under a pair of black track pants and a T-shirt promoting last year's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Jeans, a miniskirt, a formal gown, track pants and a T-shirt, all for less than $20.00. I think I did rather well.

Jaye,
Thank you for your shopping and fashion show report.
I like Salvation Army, along with Goodwill and AMvets - the prices are right and the clothing is clean!
You got yourself a nice collection of clothing at a great price.
I have some things that came from Walmart and they are nice.
I also like the closeout section of the Blair website - today my wife borrowed one of MY tops - multicolored windowpane short sleeved shell.
Tonight I'm wearing my shiny 2 piece royal blue, pink, green, and turquoise floral spring dress (Salvation Army find that's suitable for the Easter parade), buff stockings, navy, rosewood, and green tritone pumps, coral beads, goldtone clip hoop earrings, goldtone jewelry, strawberry blonde wig (Paula Young Brussels), black full slip, black bra, black Crownette open bottom girdle, blue Vanity Fair nylon panties.

Hi, all
Phylis Anne,
Your lingerie sounds divine. My only corset so far is a plain white industrial strength one (the only one in my admittedly low price range). Seamed stockings are still on my "to get" list.
Karen Marie,
Kmart is one of my hunting grounds. My favorite targets there are shoes (10 wide) and support garments. I also get nightgowns and tops. Sales and markdowns are a huge attraction. My wife buys tops and pants there.
The khaki capris and pink and white sound really cute.
Helen,
What a beautiful outfit you have, and a supporting wife (the most precious prize, in my opinion). Congrats on the new breast forms. The more I read of everyone's experiences with the store-bought silicone forms, the more I look at them on-line. For now, at least, I will stay with my homemade uncooked rice in nylons. I know, Jadeanne is cheap, cheap, cheap. Also congrats on the new wigs - I got my last 2 from a Paula Young sale catalog. I googled Paula Lauran, it suggested Paula Loren, so I came up pretty blank if that was a vendor, a designer line, or what (well, I AM a blonde
).
This morning, my wife was singing in a choir at a graduation and borrowed MY eyelet embroidered cotton slip to wear under her blue eyelet dress. She wears the cotton slip more often than I do, but I borrow things from her (with permission) and Jadeanne always wears dresses/skirts/jumpers (my male wears pants all the time) while they are normally church/special event wear for my wife.
Tonight, I'm wearing one of my late mother's homemade dresses - green and pink floral, short sleeves, skirt a couple of inches above my knees, but full enough to pouf out with my white petticoat. My gartered stockings are little color sandalfoot, my shoes are white pumps, wig is curly blonde, earrings dangly silvertone clips, coral beads, and several silvertone bracelets. Underneath, besides the petticoat, a lacy white full slip, floral print underwire bra, white boned waist cincher, white Crownette garter belt, purple print satin panties (under the garter belt, for the curious).
On this thread, we like to describe the femme finery we love to wear - what are You wearing?

Hi All,
Helen,
Paula Young is where I got my last 2 wigs - Brussels and Saphire, both blonde. I remember the Brittany - it's a little too long for the looks I'm after right now, but I bet it looks great on you - that's the great thing about Paula Young - lots of styles, lots of colors. Your Walmart dress sound beautiful. My wife is OK with my rice boobs, but I think the money for silicone forms would not be OK. The most I ever spent for anything was $55 for my front lacing corset.
Wedon't have children, just 2 indoor cats, so I'm very fortunate in being able to dress at home almost whenever I want.
I shaved my (25 year) mustache and goatee off a year and a half ago. My wife didn't object.
So far I have just dressed at home, but I'm following Nikki Marie's story on joining the Buffalo Belles and I may consider joining them in the future.
Lorna,
Your denim outfit sounds nice - is part of it from the "emergency" outfit you had to put together just before the bar ejection incident?
My wife and I had eye exams for the first time in a couple of years, so I took the whole day off - those dialating drops keep their effect on me for several hours. After they wore off a little, we went to a couple of places and bought some clothes, etc she bought herself a pair of shoes from Sears (Lands End athletic slides), at Avenue we used several discount coupons for 2 pairs of earrings, a red sweater, a black knitted top and a gray knitted top, just over $20. We also stopped at Salvation Army and got a few bargains there - my wife bought a pair of floral shorts, I got a beautiful floral crinkle broomstick skirt, and we are going to take turns with a turquoise Alfred Dunner knee length skirt with pockets. We spent just over $10.
Tonight I'm wearing the broomstick skirt - it's ankle lenth, has multiple horizontal floral bands printed, and is it FULL - a poufbunny's delight. My 2 petticoats have lots of room - in fact it would probably fit over a hoop petticoat with no problems. My top is a black Venezia long sleeved bohemian top with white embroidery. My barely visible stockings are Hanes Town Taupe, shoes are burgundy halo suede pumps, a string each of silver and red beads, several silvertone bracelets, mini door knocker clip earrings, bleached blonde Marilyn wig.
Underneath - a silky Vanity Fair full slip as a liner for the 2 petticoats, white Adonna longline bra, white 6 garter open bottom girdle, boned waist cincher, nylon floral panties.
What are you wearing?

Hi all,
I felt like dressing formal, so I chose one of my thrift store bargains, a yellow silk long sleeved high neck knee length dress that has a ruffle down the left side. My mist beige support stockings stockings have reinforced heels and toes. My shoes are gold pumps. What goes better with a formal dress than pearls? My necklace and bracelet are cultured pearl and my clip earrings are goldtone with "pearl" drops (from a dollar store). My watch is goldtone and my wig is blonde, Paula Young Sapphire style.
Underneath, I'm wearing a white lace trimmed full slip, white longline bra, holding up my stockings are the 6 garters of my front lacing corset, and my panties are beige satin.

Hi all,
Phylis Anne,
I have a few paisley print 2 piece outfits (thrift store finds) and really like them - one is blue with a knee length skirt, the other is red with a long pleated skirt. I have enough other coordinating pieces so I can mix and match them.
What color is your 2 piece outfit?
Lorna,
Than you for your kind words. being a child of the 50's, I was curious about petticoats for years, and now I have 2 of my own and enjoy them. with that broomstick skirt and both petticoats, when I sit around, I REALLY sit around
. The soft white petticoat is so far my 2nd most expensive femme item, after my corset, but I wear it often and it is well made, so it was worth the $45. The other one cost less, but it's net is a little scratchy and I usually wear a slip as a liner with that.
I have visited your website and your pictures are great! It's too bad you had that maternal interference with your wardrobe. I enjoy reading of your adventures and hope the worst of the negative is over for you.
Tonight, I was doing a little work outside the house, and when I was done got right into my long pink nylon nightgown, blue floral satin robe, and leopard print slippers.
Time for bed for me. Goodnight,,

Hi all,
Tonight I'm wearing another thrift store find - an Alfred Dunner turquoise knee length skirt with pockets. My wife picked it out for herself, but gave me permission, and "if the skirt fits". Definitely worth the $1.50 it cost. My top is a sheer white ruffled blouse. The brand new lacy aqua full slip can be seen a little bit and looks pretty underneath. My stockings are white and my shoes are my newest, tricolor pumps (woodrose and navy with willow green trim. My beads are turquoise, clip earrings are silvertone with baby blue stones, turquoise watch, one silvertone and black enamel bangle bracelet, one white and pink floral cuff bracelet, short curly ash blonde wig.
Under the aqua slip I'm wearing my wife's blue Bali Double Support bra (her suggestion, she wanted to see the bra/slip combination) with my rice in nylons forms, beige 4 garter open bottom girdle, black boned waist cincher, and mint green print satin panties.

Joanna,
That sounds like a great outfit!
The necklace also sounds great - femme presents from a GG are the top!
My wife has a most of the day church meeting - up early this AM to help (and also stay out of her way) as much as possible. I helped load some things in the car, drove her there and helped carry some things in.
For most of the day, I'm a red satin & lace princess - I lost a few pounds and can now just squeeze (by myself) into my red satin and lace bridesmaid dress with high/low hem, low back, and a bow on my butt. This was a thrift store $8 pickup. I'm pouffing it out with my 2 petticoats with an inner liner of a silky, lacy black half slip. I'm wearing black stockings, gold pumps, silvertone dangly heart clip earrings, 4 assorted sivertone or red bracelets, 5 silver chains of different lengths including a diamond chip pendant, and my bleached blonde Marilyn wig.
Underneath, my strapless red satin bustier, black 4 garter oen bottom girdle, black boned waist cincher, and pink nylon panties.
While I was writing, I had to take a bathroom break - that was a bit of an adventure.
late this afternoon, this red satin poufbunny princess will change back to loving husband and take wife out to dinner, but I'm enjoying my princess time

What am I wearing?
Hello everyone
Suzzie here
Im starting to get my things together for a walk on the beach tonight.
Being very windy on the beach, I will wear my shoulder length Brittney wig becauce its curly and wont look too tossed around.
I will be in the usual make-up (powder, lip stick, masquara, and as always my purple halve glasses).
On me will be a nice blue racer back with stars and what seems like gleater. Short shorts and my 2 inch silver heels (Ill take them off during the walk).
I dont care to much for nylons, so to wear shorts, it must be out at night or around the house.
I hope others will join me in spirit tonight, for we all need to get out once in a while.
Bye Bye and as always
Love Suzzie
