The CD yearbook

Post by Rebecca »

Hi everyone,

Ever since the thread about an article to the newspapers of the world, Iv'e had this idea floating around my head. In truth I know it's probably impractical for various reasons, but still I think It's a nice dream

May I introduce THE CD YEARBOOK

If we can come up with more than 20,000 posts in the first year, imagine the second year. The threads cover an incrdedible variety of topics. If the highlights ranging from gentle moments, inspirational moments, heated, eduactional, funny, heartbreaking moments etc were published in a book, the impact on other people in the cd world, and the world in general could be rather spectacular.

The average bloke in the street would almost certainly see some paralells with himself somewhere in the book. That could help break down the rigid rules a lot of men feel they have to obey.

SO's around the world might find inspiration to find help when they feel burdoned with their partners 'hobby'

CD ers around the world would find a voice.

Just a dream, but what a dream

Love to all

Rebecca,
I agree it is a wonderful idea!!!! =D> =D> =D> =D> . There have been some of the most heart-felt and educational posts on this forum that probably any site has or will ever see and it is sad t think that other than the ones that I have printed out and saved ( yes I know others have saved a lot of them also) anyway if we only had some way to archive them for future reference it would be like a library to the future! References for our sisters coming behind us!
I am sure some of our resident computer gurus could figure something out and then we could find a way of publishing it.
As you are well aware a lot of the posts here are simply put - BRILLIANT!!!
What a great group of intelligent individuals we are all fortunate enough to be associated with - friends!!!

Hi all,

I agree, Rebecca; this is a great idea. How to implement it, though? :-k TC also came up with the interesting idea of compiling a prototypical "Letter to the Editor" that we could send out for publication. The idea of yearbook is a great one, I think, because it would make room for many distinct voices, rather than one "unified" voice (something that's very hard to achieve even--or especially, sometimes--in our own community).

Anyone here any good at deskop publishing?

Love,
CJ

Hi all,

Y'know, the thought of it makes me want to come out of the closet with pride, to say to the world, here I am, warts and all

Beauty, Darlene, CJ, and everyone else, just want to say......
WOW, I'm lost for words. I'm breaking down in tears here

I'd better go before I smudge the monitor

Rebecca,

Absolutely outstanding idea. I love it. I for one have never seen more "bearing of souls" here, than anywhere in my life. I hope you push this idea forward.

Love always,
Elizabeth

I know my way around the WP software but someone else should probably choose the threads to pull. :-k

I like the idea but, if we were to actually attempt it, shouldn't we clear it with Sharon and Shannon?

Hia Rebecca ..^.. ... Absolutly love the idea "unlimited out of 10".. no seriously brilllllllllient \:D/

It would also help ppl with misconceptions of what and whom crossdressers are and help towards an better understanding to that effect.

Hi girls of all genders,

Iv'e been thinking about what Kathy said about permission, and have come up with a few relevant thoughts. Any knowledge or input on these would be very welcome

1.....We seek permission from Sharon, Shannon, and anybody else cosidered a controller, owner, etc.

2.....As far as I know, copyright exists immediately a piece is written, every piece of writing on this site is owned by it's own author. While those of us who post regularly can easily give consent, throughout the year there will be people who posted and have drifted off. We want to include as much as possible a variety of voices, so that would need to be worked on.

3.....I don't know if copyright varies much from country to country

4.....When we post here we ( well myself at least ) don't really imagine the possibility of our voices being on the local supermarket shelves ( well', you gotta' aim big ). We may have said things that we wouldn't expect whoever to read in a million years. We all need to satisfy ourselves that we are truly happy that we won't offend 'old granny sharp elbows' for instance. Here we could always change names around a bit

5.....Regarding the future, y'know those little white tick boxes (disable BBC, smilies etc ) well, one could be added that said 'tick if you don't want this in yearbook'

There is probably loads more

Thoughts anyone ?

Love
