Right now I'm listening to a classic by the Smiths - How Soon Is Now. I can't believe they remade the song to be the theme for that show Charmed! Geesh...

My secretary -L- cried so today! She had adopted a sweet dog that had been abandoned, and took her to have her spayed Friday. She (the dog) did not feel good all weekend, and couldn't keep anything down, so -L- took her back to the vet. He said she was in critical condition and kept the dog and sent L- back to work. Then this pm he called to tell her the dog had died, due to having no clotting factors in her blood, kinda like a hemophiliac, but it is caused by a pathogen from tick bites. Can happen to people too!!!!. L- was very upset, and cried and cried, and all I could do was hug her and mutter meaningless things.

-L- is so tenderhearted and wears her heart on her sleeve, and is often used by a largely uncaring family because she cares so much. Then even having the love of a pet is denied her. Not fair, just not fair!!!! and I worry about her ability to continue to cope!!
