Evening sky

Post by Rebecca »

Just imagine a cold yellow sun, low in the sky shining onto the buildings, trees etc lighting them up brilliantly.
Looking away from the sun, towards the sea, the backdrop of the sky is a dark grey of clouds, the seagulls shining against this backdrop reflecting the sun.
A strong fully formed rainbow arches over the grey sky...

...and now it's gone. The sun has set, rainbow faded, seagulls don't shine, the dogs are angry outside, the neighbours are arguing...

...and for a beautiful moment I saw beyond
Be good, Be safe, Be happy.

That was absolutely beautiful Rebecca! Thank you!

Hi girls,
Actually it is me who should be thanking you and all the girls on this forum, and of course ~D~ who is a very special lady. Two months ago I couldn't have written anything creative. Yesterday I didn't care if it was good or bad, the fact is I did it. I have always seen beauty but had stopped being able to communicate properly. Thankyou everyone =D>

This morning I went out for a walk, little ditties flowing out of me like nobody's business...

It folds like origami
For those who dare to venture in
can squash like pepperami :-k

Thanks Rebecca,
Most of us are allowed one or more special moments in life where we can "see beyond." Remembering those special moments can sure keep us warm on those long, dark nights. And I agree, the girls here are a big part of my special moments.
Love,
Deborah

Hi Deborah,
Many years ago I seemed to spend my life in that special place, before I was worn down and I lost my edge. (at the moment there are about a dozen teenagers screaming abuse at somebody outside) It seems that to feel and see clearly it is wise to have an outlet, a walk down the beach, whatever. just as a prison cell needs a window. I know I've a long way to go, the girls here are special. Thankyou once again

Hi Kersten,

Thankyou for your comments, they really are appreciated. At the moment I don't care if what I write is good or bad, as long as I give it a go. I think It's learning to express myself which is important, not the result.

Love and best wishes

Awesome Rebecca!

Reminds me of walking home from work in the early morning just as the sun is waking up. I always have to stop and admire the skyline.

Hi girls,

Thankyou for the comments, the sky plays such an important role in our lives, doesn't it. Y'can't whack a moody sky to get the emotions going.

Jassmine, The quote you used just above. Where's it come from ?
I recognise it but for the life of me can't think where from

When I was in my teens I was living in a large town with a hill. This hill took about 15 minutes to climb and it was shaped like a hill from a childs drawing. A few of us students would climb it at around 2 in the morning, lay on our backs and watch the stars float by until the sun came up.

Again, those moments of so long ago, as though they were by a different person, in a different age in a place long forgotton

Hey Jassmine, that quote isn't one of mine is it ?

It's good to have more time, I can get back to my rambling

Love to all

Hi Jassmine,

No problem, I usually charge a tube of lipstick for use of copyright ..rofl..

A mini confession....my lips are sealed with forth isn't one of mine, I first heard it when I was about 15 on TV (Ronnie Barker- Porridge), and it's been with me ever since, bang goes my copyright earnings #-o

Now the question is ...does Ronnie Barker wear lipstick ?

Love
