Television Quotes
this thread, as the name sugests, is about quotes from tv shows.
One of my fav shows is Will and Grace, especially Karen.
Karen to Rosario: You ingrate! You were nothing when I found you. You were boxing donkeys for money.
Rosario:You pulled me out of business school, you tipsy Witch.
Another show I love is Family Guy.
The scene:A young Peter is being shown round a dinosaur exhibit at a museum.
Peter:why did the dinosaurs die out?
Museum Guide:they died out because you touch yourself at night.

From one of my most favorite girl movies since Clueless...
Michelle (Lisa Kudrow): "What are you picking on us for? We're not the ones who got fat!"
Christy (Julia Campbell): "We're pregnant, you halfwit!"
Michelle (Lisa Kudrow): "Oh yeah? Well, I hope your babies look like monkeys!"

Kelso: "I needed to borrow your saw because... I had to cut down a tree because there was... a rabbit in there... and I wanted return it to the wild... so that it could lay its eggs."
Red: "Kelso, rabbits don't..." [pauses] "How did a rabbit get up a tree?!"
Kelso: "Because uh... Eric threw it up there!"

On the 50's American TV quiz show, 'You Bet Your Life' hosted by Groucho Marx, a contestant announced he was the father of 10 children. As the applause faded, Groucho asked if that wasn't excesive.
"Well Groucho, I love my children and I love my wife," beamed the contestant.
"Sure," replied Groucho, "I love my cigar, but I take it out occasionally."

Content with myself, at last.

I just added a quote from a TV show to my signature. "No power in the 'verse can stop me," is a line from an episode ("War Stories") of the defunct scifi program Firefly. If you didn't see it on TV two years ago, it's out on DVD. I've seen that a few folks here enjoy either "Buffy" or "Angel", and this series was produced by Joss Whedon with the same high standards. It's got a good cast, solid writing, and lots of nifty dialogue (and I'm not just talking about all the swearing in Chinese).
