People whose 15 minutes were up a looong time ago, yet they're still in the public eye/splashed across the tabloids/on every TV etc, ad nauseam.

I haven't posted here much, because there aren't all that many "little" things that bug me, but I just have to share this one.

I can't stand it when I see a couple dressed to go out, and she's dressed to the nines, while her male companion is dressed casual. Maybe I'm more sensitive to this because I crossdress, I don't know. Case in point: tonight, as I'm leaving work, I stop on the way home for gas. At the next island over, another car pulls up, and this young (18-20) couple gets out. She's wearing a pink sweater, a blue denim mini with a pink belt, white fishnets and these cute little high-heeled boots. Her hair is styled and she's wearing makeup and a little jewelry. He, on the other hand, is wearing baggy jeans and an even baggier T-shirt, with a baseball cap. When I go out with someone, we agree before hand how we're going to dress. If it's really casual, we might stick to jeans and tees, but if she's going to wear a dress, then I'll at least wear slacks (or maybe dressy jeans) and a nice shirt. In this case, I'd have at least worn fitted pants and a polo. I don't think I would have wanted to be seen in public with this creep.

The fact that wages and pay scales DO NOT keep up with the skyrocketing cost of living.

Case & point: In NY, a 6-pack of domestic light beer costs $7 on average!! Up from $5.50 JUST LAST YEAR!!! #-o

Now I hear that trains & subways are hiking their fares fir the second time in less than 2 years!!! -,,-

If I recall some of my classes correctly about the use of psychological trickery in advertising, some of those errors are apparently intentional, as the ad writers depend on the incongruity to grab your attention. However, as the education system continues to fail, I think the poorly educated are stealing their thunder!!!! :P

Hi girls,

I really hate that nail polish brushes only reach halfway down the bottle. This is sadistic, and a marketing gimmick to sell more polish.

Love always,

That short brush is a real pain. I will have to play "tip the bottle" to use up my clear Hard As Nails that I use as a base coat. I had to start that game last night.

Tha fact that every damn time I start a thread, the posts go unnoticed, and the thread sinks to bottom of the list while newer posts get all the hits.

I'm not posting in Laughs thread anymore. :?
