Hi girls, let me introduce myself

Post by Rainsong »

Hi girls and SO's,

I'm a brand new addition to the forum. I think this site is a godsend. I am 33 with a wonderful, and open wife and several lovely children. I came out to my wife about a month or two ago. CDing has always been a part of my life, I really can't remember a time that it wasn't running in the background of my brain.

My wife has been super and supportive, surprised at first, and she is still getting used to it. I definately still cherish my masculinity, and the benefits from that, but to have the freedom to express my woman within without the fear of losing the most important part of my life (my wife and family) means the world to me.

This new freedom and support is all totally new to me, I know I just need to keep this in perspective, take it slow be sensitive to my SO's needs. I am so glad to have found this site, you girls and your SO's have shown me that if done right I won't have to hide this side of me, and my wife and I can incorporate it into our world.

Hi Jamie (or Rainsong, not sure which you prefer?),

and welcome to the site :) It's great to see you here! I'm sure you will find the site a wonderful place. It's meant so much to me in the time I have been here, the girls here are fantastic. :)

I was fascinated by the parallels between us when I read your post, similar age, similar recent coming-out to our SO, similar need to keep our male side, and similar feelings of joy, that we can share all of who we really are with the person we love most in our lives. :) Good for you girl!

Sounds like you have exactly the right idea, in taking things slow, and keeping things in perspective. Great to see you here :), and love the avatar!

hugs,

Katy-Jane

wow....responses!!

Post by Rainsong »

Way cool, I actually got responses. I have never really done the forum thing before, let alone talk to ather people about my CD stuff. Having an outlet to discuss things is pretty wild. I have always kinda kept it inside, I knew a lot of people wouldn't understand it-I know I never fully have, but I have always been pretty comfortable with myself. If I thought there was something wrong...well then I would be concerned. I guess I came to terms with this part of myself for quite a while, it is more of a state of mind. If I ever thought it would jeapardize me, my family, or those dear to me I would just find a different way to express that side of me.

I really have benefitted from the SO's writing in and seeing there points of view and concerns. It has helped me realize how luckyI am to have a wife like I do. I also am relieved to see that there are plenty of girls out there that also enjoy the benefits joys that come from the masculine part of personalities. I truly believe that both aspects can live in harmony. I would not give up that side of me any more than I would give up the joys and heartaches from having strong feminine tendencies. I think the key is finding the right balance.

Thanks for the compliment on my avatar, my wife took this picture of me last weekend after the kids had gone to bed. She is such a wonderful woman and I am a lucky guy/girl to have her in my life. I hope that all of you get the opportunity to share yourselves with someone like her in your own lives.

hugs to all

Jamie (Rainsong is the last name, but Jamie was already taken :( )

Hi Jamie and welcome !
It´s wonderful to hear that you too have an understanding SO, who also likes to photograph you when you are dressed :) It´s so much easier than using a self timer. I´d like to see more pictures of you dressed because you really look good :) My gf ( Katie H) joined the forum a while ago and enjoys writing here now and then. Looking forward to read your future posts :)

Wow,

thanks for the the welcomes, I am so excited to be accepted by such a group of friendly, caring and understanding people. I never in my life would've thought I could freely talk about and express my feminine side among other people comfortably without being judged.

Joanna-I couldn't agree more, self timed pictures of myself usually don't come out very well. I will see about some more pictures at some point. It is very flattering to be complimented about me en femme  , I am blushing as I read this.

CJ-You are right, any supportive SO priceless.

Thanks again girls,

love,

Jamie

Hi Rainsong--
I thought I had already posted in this thread. I think I did welcome you in, elsewhere.

It's interesting about the self-timer. I had wanted a digital camera for some time, and the self-timer adds about $150 to the price, it seems. But I find myself inhibited by people taking pictures of me. There's qualities I want to capture that take some time and effort.

Hi girls,

Anita, I have to say that even with the added expense of the timers on the digital cameras, it is probably not worth it. To get really good pictures you are going to have to find someone you are comfortable with to help you with poses and to actually snap the image. Don't waste the extra money on a feature you wont use often....spend the money on the cute dress you saw at the mall

Stef,

Wow, you are gorgeous girl. I did take some time to peruse your web site. Very informative, warm and welcoming. You are a great asset to the gender gifted community. I can relate with a lot of the content on your site. Our age is also similar as is our views of on the multiple sides of personality and blending of gender roles. Awesome addition to the web. keep it up girl, you make us all proud.

Is that your real hair? It is gorgeous
