Some of you might've noticed that I haven't posted here much of late. I've been in lurk mode most of the places that I hang out, but tonight finds me back in full swing. After work I went to WalMart for a little shopping. I was in a "black" mood. I bought a black tee, black George skirt, pantyhose, three pairs of trouser socks and a pair of bootliners for work, and a belt. I also picked up two holiday gift sets of eye shadow and lip gloss. They're packed in these nifty metal trays. I almost bought a pair of pumps, but I restrained myself. I overspent as it was, and this was Wally World.

Hi all,
I actually bought these a while ago but I just took a photo of them recently. It's sort of interesting how I came by them. I was looking through the shoe shelves at the local Salvation Army. I happened to be with my father's wife (who's as much of a bargain hunter as I am) as they were in town for a visit. Of course, my dad was a million miles away from any section of the store having to do with women's wear. Anyway, the shoes are way at the back of the store, near the doorway to the backstore. Well, I was looking over their selection of heels when my dad's wife called me over to that doorway. "You've got to come over and see this," she said, a huge grin on her face. As I got to the doorway, I could hear giggles and, literally, squeals of delight. Well, three of the store's female employees (none of them older than 25 years old or so) were having a blast with a pair of heels. One was trying to walk around in them; one was holding the wearer's hand; one was just standing back, laughing her butt off. Grinning myself, I just walked into the backstore (I've done it before; they know me) and asked them if they were for sale. "Sure," said the wearer, "here." She took them off and handed them to me. I looked at the size. Women's size 11. Perfect. The price. $9.99 on sale at half-price ($4.99). Sold. I can best describe them as "Drag Diva heels," pink glitter and all. Not that I'll be wearing them outside or anything (and if I ever do, I'll have to ensure my last will and testament is up to date, beforehand!
). Here they are.

Hi all,
Within the past couple of days, I received in the mail a set (actually 6 pairs) of clip on pierced earring adaptors, then went to the dollar store and bought several pairs of pierced earrings to try with them. I'm wearing one pair now. Please check my "What are you wearing" thread for details.

Hi Beauty,
I'm just wearing them now for the first time with pink-trimmed silvertone hoops from a dollar store. they might take a little bit of getting used to, but I've had several pairs of clips that required several wearings to fell comfortable.
here is a link that I hope works: http://www.amerimark.com/cgi-bin/amerim ... rtbyprice=
They are from Amerimark Windsor Collection and are $7.95 for a set of 6 pairs with a choice of goldtone or silvertone.
They have a 7/32 of an inch long straight tube on the bottom that will accept the pierced earring posts or straight wires for hoops.
Fish hook shaped wires and the curved wires of leverbacks will not fit through the straight tube. If you wanted to permanently alter the fishhook shaped wires by shortening and straightening the wires, you could probably make them fit.
I don't know if threader earrings would work with them.
The pierced earring will of course be lower on the ear than in a pierced ear. The adaptor may be partly visible with smaller sized earrings.
I bought the goldtone ones and I'm probably going to get the silvertone ones in the future.
In addition to the pierced earring adaptors, they also sell a 2 piece set of pendant makers which are removeable adaptors (one for horizontal, one for vertical) which allow a pin to be used as a pendant. They are $8.95 for a set of 2 in either goldtone or silvertone.
I'm not associated with Amerimark Windsor Collection, only a customer.

Hi Jadeanne,
Yes. It looks like the bottom line for me is I'm going to have to get my ears pierced to wear the kind of earrings I like. I said that this year I was going to be doing some things to aid myself in my transition to more of a Transgendered person from only wearing clothes so maybe that will be my first step.
Thank you for posting the link and explaining how it worked for you!
Ok and to keep the thread on topic, I purchased several sports bras from pink to black and a few more pair of trouser socks because I don't wear male socks anymore.
Thanks again for the answer Jadeanne!

Hi everyone!
I was at Wal Mart when I saw a pink blouse I just adored looked at the price and it was on clearance for $6.00, then I found a pair of jeans that were actually long enough for me and were only $15.98. I bought them both.

Hugs,
Stef
