Well, I am a -60 and here is what it said.
Your COGIATI result value is: -60 Which means that you fall within the following category:
COGIATI classification THREE, ANDROGYNE
What this means is that the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory has classified your internal gender identity to be essentially androgynous, both male and female at the same time, or possibly neither.
In some cultures in history, you would be considered to be a third sex, independent of the polarities of masculine or feminine. Your gender issues are intrinsic to your construction, and you will most likely find your happiness playing with expressing both genders as you feel like it.
SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTION:
Your situation is a little tricky in our current society, but not tremendously so, depending on your geographic location.
The suggestions for your circumstance are not overly complicated.
1. If you have any comfortability about your gender expression, some slight degree of counseling might well prove helpful. The primary goal would be to make it possible for you to enjoy your gender expressions free from any shame or embarrassment, and to resolve any remaining questions you might have.
2. As an androgynous being, both genders, and both sexes are natural to your expression. Permanent polarization in either direction might bring significant unhappiness. It is not recommended that you go through a complete transsexual transformation. You might find a partial transformation of value, if you find yourself more attracted overall to the feminine. You are more likely a transgenderist, than a transsexual. It is recommended that you recognize that your gender issues are real, but that extreme action regarding them should be viewed with great caution.
3. If you have not already, consider joining any of the thousands of groups devoted to gender play of various varieties. There is literally a world of friends to discover who share your interests. There are also publications, vacations, and activities that would expand your gender play.
I just went to look up my last two tests -140 in may of last year and -170 in sept of last year. and now a -60. Seems I am dealing with it in some ways anyway I can.
Gelinda.

wow
Your COGIATI result value is: 405 Which means that you fall within the following category:
COGIATI classification FIVE, TRANSSEXUAL
What this means is that the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory has classified your internal gender identity to be female. According to COGIATI, your mind and gender identity is that of a woman.
You essentially fit the the model of the classic transsexual, and you should not ignore your gender issues, they will only become more severe.
You definitely need to seek treatment.
SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTION:
Your situation is serious and highly indicative of an inborn gender conflict. It is strongly recommended that you pursue further action.
The suggestions for your circumstance are important.
1. It is recommended that you seek help from a sympathetic counselor or professional about your gender issues. Over time they will become increasingly difficult to cope with. Early confirmation and diagnosis of your transsexuality is vital. The sooner you seriously seek help, the more likely you are to not only survive, but to be happy as well.
2. Some actions may help you to define your condition to yourself more clearly. Experimenting with living full time as a woman, taking hormones for a short time under supervision, or taking testosterone suppressers to observe how you feel are all viable options. Keep in mind that while it is extremely likely that you are a transsexual, it is not certain. Do not take severe or permanent actions without careful thought and the help of counselors and professionals.
3. Your gender issues are real, and should not be ignored! Neither should you rush into acting on them, however powerful they may feel. Transition to a body with a female sex may be your salvation, but it is imperative that you be absolutely sure of what your really want. Act IMMEDIATELY to pursue solving your gender dysphoria. Seek professional assistance IMMEDIATELY.
4. If you have not already, consider joining any of the thousands of groups devoted to gender expression of various kinds. There is literally a world of friends to discover who share your interests. There are also publications, vacations, and activities that would expand your gender expression.
5. You have my wishes for your happiness, my sister. Good luck.
Thank you for using the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory.

i m sorry ,i hav repeated cogiati test,in italian language,with my wife
my score its
-135
COGIATI classification TWO, FEMININE MALE
What this means is that the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory has classified your internal gender identity to be mostly masculine, and that your gender issues are primarily matters of personal expression rather than a medical problem. Any struggles you have are most likely caused by internal shame over your needs and desires, or because of curiosity over what those needs represent. There is, however, some indication of a strong feminine side to your being, and this is intrinsic to your constitution.
so i m in the borderline with androgyne
i m happy to be femminine
i think female stylelife it s best vs male, but i shall open any dubt in my

Hi,
Well I talked with CJ last night and we decided to try the test again to see the changes since 2003.
Here are my results.
Your COGIATI result value is: 375 Which means that you fall within the following category:
COGIATI classification FOUR, PROBABLE TRANSSEXUAL
My last score was 270.
The ranges and their meanings can be found at the top of page 5 or the bottom of page 2 of this thread.
As always I like to say this isn't an "Are You A TS or Not" test. It's more of a interesting and fun test.

Hi all,
Well, I'm nothing if not consistent.
As Beauty said, last night we agreed to try out the test again and I did just that this morning. Score: 185. Probable Transsexual (my previous score, from a year and a half ago, was 175).
It might soon be time for me to take a closer look at what's going on inside of me. I've taken the COGIATI (as well as other gender tests) a number of times over the past several years and the results are invariably the same. Transsexual. Maybe. Perhaps. Could be. Investigate, investigate, I'm told.
I've been discussing (with Beauty, amongst others) the need for me to get myself connected to a gender therapist so that I can explore who I truly am more in depth. As some of you know, my dressing activities have dried up this year (they were only occasional to begin with, anyway). I'm having some trouble figuring out what kind of spin to put on this, though. Some have suggested that I've started integrating my male and female aspects, but I'm not so sure that's the case. These are the facts in my own case:
-- My earliest childhood memories are related to my gender issues (age 5)
-- The fetishistic aspect of transvestism is not one of my main concerns
-- My sense of psychological well-being skyrockets when I'm en femme
-- I have a fairly low libido, and I miss emotional intimacy more than I do sex
-- I've always preferred the company and friendship of women--always
-- I've been feeling increasingly "envious" of women in the last few years
-- When I see an attractively dressed woman walking down the street, I often wonder what it would feel like to be in her skin, not in her clothes.
On the other hand:
-- I do not abhor my own genitals
-- My secondary sexual characteristics (hair, voice, muscle mass, etc.) don't distress me too much
-- I'm perfectly comfortable with people addressing me as Mr. or Daniel
-- I have a lot of difficulty picturing myself "locked" in either gender (or either sex, for that matter).
Yeah, talking with a therapist might do me some good. I really do need to get over my prejudice regarding therapists.
Beauty,
Your own score today is... improving? It certainly seems as though you might be heading down the TS path, eh? Well, as you said, this test isn't scientific and it isn't meant to replace therapy-aided self-knowledge. Just know this: crossdresser, transgenderist, transsexual... regardless of where you are (or might be going), you're a beautiful person and a good soul. That's all that matters, really.
Love,
CJ

CJ, it sounds to me like you've already figured yourself out. Isn't that what a therapist is supposed to help you do? If so, then why would you need one if you've already gotten to that place of being self aware.
As for being TS or not, it too is only a label. Especially if you do not plan on living the rest of your life as a woman. You can start saying you are TS right this minute, yet it I doubt it would change how you feel and what you know about yourself.
PS:
I took it again and my COGIATI result value is now: -115 within the category:
COGIATI classification THREE, ANDROGYNE
Previously my value was: -170 COGIATI classification TWO, FEMININE MALE

I have taken the test from time to time, though I strongly doubt the relevance of many questions
In May I scored 245, end of July 220
Today its higher than ever

Your COGIATI score places you among the majority of those diagnosed as transsexuals, the 'late onset' tanssexual.

I have now taken it twice: what appears to be very different scores with the same interpretation: 02/03/05 = 115
10/25/05 = 75
Been to counselling and I am very happy with my "gender expressions."
I do not seek "permanent polorization" I seek balance and according to the other test "BBC- Science and Nature - Sex ID. I have achieved that balance with a few minor exceptions but I tested at dead center so.....
say good night, Virginia! Good night to all my sisters - Stay fluffy girls!

Took the test again the other night and got a -35. I tried to answer truthfully and most of the answers the same as before,so I guess the average is there. Do any of you that have taken counseling see the results to be right?

Beauty,
Thanks for posting the info. on the test.

(During my last full-time job I took two seperate MBTI test, and have also taken one online, and my MBTI type is consistantly INFJ).
It would be interesting to find out if there is a correlation between gender identity and personality preferences.
Here's the Wikipedia article on MBTI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBTI
And here's a free MBTI personality test (68 questions): http://www.personalitytest.net/cgi-bin/q.pl

Thanks for posting the info. on the test.
I would really love to know if anyone here knows their MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) type as well as their COGIATI result.Your COGIATI result value is: 135 Which means that you fall within the following category:
COGIATI classification FOUR, PROBABLE TRANSSEXUAL
What this means is that the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory has classified your internal gender identity to be essentially feminine, but with some masculine or androgynous traits. Your COGIATI score places you among the majority of those diagnosed as transsexuals, the 'late onset' tanssexual.
SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTION:
Your situation is potentially serious and indicative of a probable inborn gender conflict. It is definitely recommended that you pursue further action.
The suggestions for your circumstance are several.
1. It is recommended that you seek help from a sympathetic counselor or professional about your gender issues. It is very possible that over time they will become increasingly difficult to cope with. Early determination of what you really need and want is vital. You need to determine if you truly are transsexual. Keep in mind, thought, that many alternatives exist other than complete sexual transformation. Partial transformation and many other way of existing are available. While you are very possibly a transsexual, COGIATI has determined that this is not absolutely certain. While time is an issue, being certain is more important. Proceed with investigation of your possible transsexuality or transgenderism, but with caution.
2. Some actions may help you to define your needs more clearly. Experimenting with living full time as a woman, taking hormones for a short time under supervision, or taking testosterone suppressers to observe how you feel are all viable options. Keep in mind that while it is very likely that you might be a transsexual, it is not certain. Do not take severe or permanent actions without long thought and the help of counselors and professionals.
3. Your gender issues are real, and should not be ignored. Neither should you rush into acting on them, however powerful they may feel. You do not fit the full criterion for the rarest classification, classic transsexuality, and so should be cautious, and open to possibilities. You may yet end up undergoing transition, and the path of the transsexual may well be your salvation. Be very careful, but do not ignore your issues.
4. If you have not already, consider joining any of the thousands of groups devoted to gender expression of various kinds. There is literally a world of friends to discover who share your interests. There are also publications, vacations, and activities that would expand your gender expression.
