Serious Relationships

Post by LeftyRainbow(SO) »

This is just a "for fun" poll.

I will leave it up to you to decide what constitutes serious.

Hi Lefty,

Interesting question. I used to think "serious" meant that I know what she looks like with a mouthful of toothpaste. Now, I think it means I know what her mother looks like with a mouthful of toothpaste...

Hi Lefty! \:D/

Why'd you have to leave it up to me to decide serious? :P
Just kidding! ^@^

Only two serious relationships for me and the second one ended in marriage. :)

I was about to ask what you people consider is serious enough. But I suppose that's up to everyone to decide themselves. :)

I've been in few short relationships, and only one serious that lasted nearly 2 years, but unfortunately ended quite tragically.
So not bad for someone of my age. Eh? :P

Just kidding, I didn't come here to brag. Quality over quantity, that's the way it should be.

A car accident. They say she died immidietly. I just regret that I wasn't in that car with her.

And Jessie, if you've never been in a relationship, then you haven't. I don't think it's such a big deal. I have a friend who is 17, and is all stressed out because he 'still' hasn't had a girlfriend. It's kind of cute and silly at the same time. Although, in time, it always gets annoying to hear him whining. :P

Awww... :(

I'm sorry Jadhe. It sounds like you are ok now. I don't even want to try to imagine how horrible that was. :(

Thank you for telling me. Nosy-ness off.

Jessie I didn't have a serious girlfriend until I was in my mid twenties.

Until I was 20, the only serious relationship I had was with myself.

And then I broke up with myself.

Love,
CJ

Jadhe,

Sorry to hear about the death of your loved one. My heart goes out to you and, like Beauty, I'm glad to see that you seem to be doing okay. (Have you seen the film 21 Grams? What you must've gone through just reminded me of that.)

You're funny, CJ.

And I'm ok, so don't worry about me. I cried for few months until I realised that crying wont bring her back to my life, so better go on with my life and find a better way to grief over the love I had just lost.
Same thing happened when my father died few years earlier. I cried and cried, until I could cry no more. When that happens, it's best just to accept the facts and move on.

About that movie...no, I haven't seen it. What's it about?

Hi Jadhe,

The film, starring Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Naomi Watts, just came out a couple of weeks ago. Without giving away too much of the plot, it concerns the way in which the lives of three very different individuals intersect as the result of a tragic car accident. It's a very gritty film, very powerful, very honest in its camera work, and unsentimental. Its main theme? Life always finds a way of going on. Although the somewhat fractured narrative won't appeal to everyone, it's definitely on my list of the year's top films. See it.

Love,
CJ

Is it the one directed by Clint Eastwood?

Hi Jadhe,

No, you're probably thinking of Mystic River (also with Sean Penn and also supposed to be a very good film--I haven't seen it yet).

Here's more info on 21 Grams:
