Tina in Charlotte

Post by Jacqueline Manesis »

Hello all. I am new to this board. A few years ago I got out to a couple of my local tri-ess meetings. I enjoyed kappa-beta then. I have heard alot of crazy things about what may or may not have happened. All I can say is thank God for groups like these to let us know we are not alone in the world. I just wanted to give a quick hello and also wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

PS: Christmas is not found at the mall!

Hi Tina--
I like your avatar. Welcome to the forum! Not sure what you mean by "what may or may not have happened." To the Tri-ess chapter?
Is Kappa-Beta the name of the Tri-ess chapter you went to?

Anyway, curious people like me want to know! By the way, the pink script is readable in the orginal post, but if I try to look at it in the "topic review" section, it disappears in the brown background. ["Topic review" is a feature that lets you read or quote from all the posts in the thread, while you're writing a reply. ]

Anita,

Kappa-Beta is indeed the chapter I am refering to. It seemed to drop off the planet but it's back now.

I guess I will use this normal drab text if it is troublesome to use the other color.

My avatar is a picture I took of myself with my webcam about 2 1/2 years ago. It is unfortunately the only photo of me en feme that I managed to recover after a complete purge. I used to have several........the only copies were being stored on the Kappa members site, which is no longer functional.I am working my way back now though........I hope I never purge again for so many reasons, the expense of buying all my neccessities AGAIN for one. #-o

A couple years back I attended a few tri-ess meetings here in Charlotte and also a LGBT prom. It was great fun. I ended up in a situation where i had a supportive SO that somehowe grew to find it unbearable feeling like she lost her hubby. We divorced and I purged. Now I am in a new relationship and my SO is supportive thus far, taking my come back a bit more slowly as to not be right out there in her face. I plan to be able to go to meetings again soon. Hopefully early in the year.

Hi Tina,

I welcomed you elsewhere on the forum but I'll do it again here, more officially.

So: welcome aboard! 8) I hope you have fun here and that you get a chance to make new friends.

Like Anita, I think your avatar is great. There's a certain sadness in your looks but the overall mood of the pic is a very contemplative one. I like it very much.

Hope to hear more from you soon.

Love,
CJ

Thank you everyone for giving me such a warm welcome. I look forward to meeting and making new friends. I guess the sadness shown in my avatar picture is due to the circumstances surrounding the time it was taken. You see it's the only picure I have left after going through a complete purge. I am working my way back though............jeeze the expense! That picture was taken right before a purge and I was sort of saying goodbye to the most complete fem image of myself I could bring out.

Well a few years after the divorce and building a new relationship. I have found someone I wish to be a part of my life for always. I was very nervous and still am about some things and defining lines etc. I have come out to her and so far she has surpassed my expectations. I believe I have found the one who accepts me fully, no matter my clothing. We're working out the bugs but so far so good and a new closeness I never expected.

So, thank you everyone. Just for being here and being you. If it were not for places like this I might still be sneaking off behind a locked door with just a pair of stolen pantyhose. It's great to know I am not alone in a world of unacceptance.

Hi Tina,

Yes there is real-time chat. There is a regular chat-time scheduled for Saturdays starting at 8:00 pm Eastern time (ending at 11 pm), but the chat room is available 24/7 so you can, if you want, invite someone to chat with you. Click on the Chat button at the top of any page, or you can see who is in chat at the bottom of the main index page (the second listing of people online) and click the link to enter chat.

Glad to be here with you, Tina. I can certainly relate to the purges you talk of and how outrageously expensive they can become. I must agree with the others that your avatar looks very convincing, so keep up the good work! =D>
