Kids should walk to and from school, uphill both directions, through four feet of snow in the winter, carrying a book bag full of rocks. It builds character, I'm certain. Seriously, though, I think it's important to build navigation skills and a sense of confidence in your own ability to get from one place to another before you start taking short cuts.

Homework: hand written or using a word processor?

Hand-written - - Kids are forgetting how to legibly print or use cursive handwriting as computers have become more integrated into the household.

My 11 year old and her girlfrends have told me about the "conspiracy" going on in their school's kitchen. Hair being put in the food on purpose  and leftover sloppy joe meat being used in the taco meat #-o  They will do anything for a lunchable!!

I do prefer brown bag as I can think I am controlling what she has for lunch such as raw veggies and fesh fruit. ( I do remember the "trades" that go on though).

Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan (turns 21 today)? - - Neither one, both are spoiled brats who should have received "applied education to the seat of learning" a long time ago . . and add Britney Spears to the list, also!

Tommy Lee Jones -or- Bruce Willis?

Bruce Willis, the man behind the Die Hard films.

Tom Cruise turns 45 today (7/3/62)

Choose one of his films:

Top Gun or Born on the Fourth of July?

I agree SL, celebrities violating parole, having substance and/or alcohol abuse issues, etc. are not role models for today's youth!

Going to a county/state fair. I dislike riding roller coasters!

Speaking of summertime activities, the man behind the circus, P.T. Barnum was born today. (7/5/1810)

Which circus performers do you prefer?

Juggling clowns or trapeze artists?

Trapeze artists....I always thought it took a lot of courage for them to get up there and do that.

Who do you like better...The Grand Illusionist, David Copperfield or the the most gorgeous guy on earth "Mindfreak" illusionist Criss Angel? =P~

Sorry, got a little carried away...
