barefoot in the leaves

Post by Absaroka »

It's gotten quite warm here in New England even as the leaves begin to turn. Since our back yard is fairly private I often go out there en femme. So today I worked a little bit on the fruit trees and then just wandered around, barefoot in a long gauzy blue skirt, bra, panties, and white women's sleeveless tee. Then I sat in the sun a bit. I felt a bit like a woodland nymph.

There's a little stream in the woods behind the yard with a pool deep enough to sit in. It's still got quite a bit of water in it even though it hasn't rained much at all. After the sun got a little too warm I went and sat in the stream. I thought about doing this dressed but drying the clothes out would be such a pain so I didn't get the clothes wet.

There is something about being barefoot in a skirt that is really nice. I'm not quite sure how this works, how it's different than barefoot and male gym shorts, even though I generally prefer barefoot in all modes. Maybe I am just more attuned to sensation en femme.

Anyone else feel this way-barefoot is more fun en femme than en homme?

That sounds really neat, I will try that sometime. I've been wanting somewhere to go, outside of a mall or shopping, while dressed en femme. A part with a stream or brook sounds really nice.

I think I'll try that this weekend.

I tend not to go barefoot in my backyard no matter how I'm dressed because there are far too many spiders there for me to feel comfortable that way. Squeemish (girly?), I am! Far cry from when I was a tomboy growing up in new England, seeking out snakes and other crawly things.

Around here it's a no no to go barefoot, as we have a rather large collection
of rattlesnacks and their friends the copperhead [-X

Having lived up north, I agree that at certain times of the year the leaves can be beautiful and look wonderful on the ground. Never had the chance to walk barefoot through them while dressed, but recently I had a night walk on an almost deserted beach with my SO. A light broomstick skirt and knit top, barefoot. It was wonderful with the stars out and the sound of the ocean...otherwise a deafening silence! Sometimes we take nature for granted, but what better combination......a lovely SO, nature and being ourselves :)

Oooooh, very evocative. I can just picture the leaves crunching under my feet! Unfortunately it's rather wet here, so they'd just be squishing between my toes which isn't the same thing at all.

I do agree with you that there's something inherently feminine feeling about strolling outdoors in bare feet. Every step is a little more delicate, and the rustling leaves remind me of shifting skirts and a gentle breeze blowing up my legs. Delightful.

Ooh yes, I have to agree there's nothing quite like it. I had always wanted to walk barefoot along a warm sandy beach, feeling the sun on my face and the sand between my little painted toes. Last summer I got to do just that with a friend of mine and it was awesome. Being dressed and sitting on the beach, paddling in the water, and just goofing around was such a thrill.

I'm more of a beach baby myself, but I do love the feeling of walking on the surf line, seeing the water roll over my feet and toes with nail polish, and holding my skirts up over my knees so they don't get too wet.

I haven't gone to the beach enfemme although I certainly enjoyed Teklas description.

I live a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean so I do get to the beach a lot. Some of these posts made me realize I take that for granted.

Barefoot at the beach is only fun in the sand however. When it's a rocky beach you really need the support of a good pair of shoes. but in sand barefoot is the easiest way to walk unless it's really hot.

I find that the greatest source of contentment is to make sure that we do not take the small beauties, and easy acts of kindness in our life for granted. I try to get to the beach once a week at least. I have six in the City to choose from, each special in its own way, each coming with its different thoughts and ideas. (That's hard to explain, but I know its true.)

And even sometimes stone. Nah, not the jagged ones, that slash your feet to ribbons like they were concertina wire, but the other ones. I like the big round ones with all the seaweed and moss, and stuff growing on them, like walking on sea grass. But also, way up north, the rocks on the shore of Lake Superior get such a beating that they are extremely smooth, and walking in them is like a great foot massage, they feel great - the water however is just about freezing.

I like that stuff best. Walking on the beach, or though the woods, or up a hill. Its the best part of being alive, and its free for the most part. And it makes me content, it gives me a feeling that all is right with the world. And that's a pretty good way to be.
