Tonight I'm walking around the block
I've been toying with going out in public for quite some time. Occasionally I step outside late at night all dressed up just for a few moments to get the thrill of it.
Last night I dared myself to walk to end of the driveway and I actually did it! Tonight I might try to walk around the short block by my house dressed up. It is very exciting to think about. I'll report back on how it goes.
Wish me luck,
tommy

Tommy,
You know we have a saying here on the forum, "baby steps, just baby steps." And just going outside is just that; the Chinese philosopher, Confucius said, "Journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step." You are on your way.
Not quite sure of your age, but for some of us the next phase is a night time drive then perhaps a trip through the drive-thru, then day time and it goes on from there.
My first venture out was an afternoon movie matinee. The theater is usually not very crowded nor is the parking area and it gives you a chance to, shall I say, "practice your moves."
Anyway, good luck and let us know how you are doing!

Enjoy! I love my brief walks at night, even in chilly weather. It doesn't matter if I'm just taking the trash to the curb or picking up the mail. It feels great to get out dressed as I please.
I would definitely echo the suggestion of considering going for a drive. Being inside your own vehicle adds an element of safety and comfort to the experience, and it's a delight to be out where you can see other people without the pressure of interacting with them. I remember one of my earliest excursions completely dressed was several hours to the town my girlfriend at the time lived. I realized shortly after leaving that I'd have to stop for gas and even with pay-at-the-pump it felt like a big adventure at the time.

I love walking around at night in a dress but I don't walk around the block where I live as it could lead to questions.......There are some nice paths through the woods which are quite pleasant if there is a full moon and also a service road along the railroad embankment which I enjoy. Also couple of old mansions with a park which are now public property.
If you can't tell I'd much rather be walking in the woods. That goes for male mode also.
Summer is for shorter skirts. Winter is for long skirts and maybe leggings underneath. At least for me.
Wherever you went I hope it was fun. There's nothing like a walk enfemme under a winter moon. Maybe you'll luck out and even have a little snow.

Thank you everyone for your support and input. I only made it to the corner the other night because it was quite cold and I thought I saw a car coming. I got nervous and headed back. It was still quite exciting though.
As suggested perhaps I should try a night time drive - that sounds like fun too. I'll share my adventure if I do it.
Love and kisses,
tommy

The first time you actually open the door and walk out is quite an exciting and scary experience. Sometimes it takes many tries to finally do so, but once you do, you have opened the door to many more adventures hopefully. Of course, a lot depends on your neighborhood since we do have to live there with our neighbors. Most don't care, and I feel ok leaving as DeeDee with my SO now, but that took forever to get that confidence....and I'm still a bit nervous. I will say this.....be careful at night whether you pass or not. Bad guys will just see a lone female walking and once they target you, its victim time. Its best to be with someone or simply take a drive. Not trying to be negative, but when you go out as a woman, you also should protect yourself and think as a woman does for safety. I suppose its something guys never think of....how vulnerable a single woman can be (Virginia excepted).....until you put yourself in that position. It really does change your attitude when things get a bit touchy...happened to me. Just be careful and enjoy!!!!!!
