Lesson 8:
You should make a list of personal goals, thing goals, and financial goals. Each individual list is to address only that subject. Each list should have 30 day, 90 day, 6 month, 1 year, 3 year and 5 year goals for each subject.
Wow! That is a lot of work. It took me some time to get it all done. You should understand that over time, things will change. They are changing for me these days. I have a bad day every so often. I suddenly will cry for a period. Some particular thing sets me off. My crying I have discovered is more for how I was treated in the end than for the loss of the spouse.
You may find this as well, depending on your personal situation. Setting up the goals lists takes time and a willingness to do so! Most of us are willing to just float along. I am one of those and procrastination goes right along with that horse.
I was 18 years old once, I am 61 years looking at 62 in August. What happened? Simply, I grew older day by day. Each day seeming in the “now” to be “just another day.” Oh, how wrong I was. Each day was an opportunity knocking but my ears were not in tune to the music.
So make those lists! Time is moving on all of us. It will be Friday in less than 10 hours from now on the East Coast of the USA.
Do you have a fear of change like me? Well, in your personal goals list, make that a priority for changing it. Set a few simple goals that you often procrastinate on and do them. Nothing to hard, just little events that will build your confidence.
Remember to pick one day in seven to update your weekly goals list each week. No goals, the week goes by, there you are again.
We all do it. It does not mean that you cannot change what you do. If I can change after 40 years, so can you. If I can set new goals after losing my home and transportation, so can you! We just get the courage to do something about it. We reach down and find it within ourselves to do something about it. I have tried the crying thing and it helps but it does not get me that next job, apartment, car, food etc.
Hugs
Danielle Marie
